Berichtigungspolitik

Pressesicht (pressesicht.de) is committed to correcting all factual errors promptly and transparently in accordance with the standards set by Pressesicht Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry). The corrections process is overseen by Anna Jung (Ansvarig för faktagranskning) and the standards desk, which reports directly to Chefredaktör Matthias Winter. Every correction is treated as a matter of editorial integrity, not reputation management.

Who is responsible for handling corrections at Pressesicht?

Anna Jung (Ansvarig för faktagranskning) leads the fact‑checking and corrections desk at Pressesicht. She reviews each reported error, determines its materiality, and coordinates the publication of corrections. Matthias Winter, as Chefredaktör, is ultimately accountable for all correction decisions and is consulted on any complex or contentious case. The standards desk operates independently of commercial and editorial pressure.

How do I report an error?

Readers should send a clear description of the error, the precise location (article headline, URL, publication date), and any supporting evidence to the dedicated corrections address: corrections@pressesicht.de. Alternatively, complaints can be submitted via the general contact form at /about-us/contact/. For time‑sensitive corrections, the newsdesk (newsdesk@pressesicht.de) may also receive reports, but all formal corrections are routed through Anna Jung’s desk to ensure a consistent record.

What happens after a correction is reported?

The standards desk acknowledges receipt within two working days and begins verification. For material errors – those that could mislead a reader or alter the factual basis of an article – Pressesicht publishes an update to the article and appends a correction note at the top or bottom of the page. Minor errors (typographical slips, date or name misspellings that do not affect understanding) are corrected silently and noted in the internal changelog. The desk responds with a confirmation once the correction is live, typically within five working days.

How are corrections applied to published articles?

When a material error is corrected, the article is updated with the correct information and the correction note states the original error, the correction made, the date of amendment, and the editor responsible. All corrections are logged and retained for at least three years. For articles distributed via newsletter or syndicated channels, a separate correction announcement may be issued if the error is significant. Full details on editorial standards are available at /editorial-policy/ and /fact-checking-policy/. Readers who are dissatisfied with the outcome may escalate their complaint via the /complaints-procedure/ page.

Does Pressesicht correct errors in sponsored or AI‑assisted content?

Yes. Sponsored content and articles that used AI‑assisted tools are subject to the same correction process. The commercial origin of sponsored content does not alter the obligation to correct factual errors. All corrections to sponsored material are handled by the same standards desk and must be approved by Anna Jung. Affiliate links are never corrected retroactively, but any factual mistake in the accompanying editorial text is corrected in the usual manner.

Our commitments

  • We correct all material factual errors within five working days of confirmation.
  • We publish a clear correction note on the article stating the original error and the date of correction.
  • We maintain an independent standards desk, led by Anna Jung, that reports directly to the Chefredaktör.
  • We acknowledge every correction report within two working days and respond with a summary of action taken.
  • We treat sponsored and AI‑assisted content with the same correction rigour as all editorial material.
