Editorial responsibility rests with Chefredaktör Matthias Winter, who oversees all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. The site is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing – none of which influence editorial conclusions. What sources do we rely on day to day?
We rely on primary sources, direct access to official records, named human sources, and original documents. Every article must be traceable to verifiable material – public registers, government press releases, court rulings, parliamentary records, corporate filings, or interviews conducted by our staff.
Our reporting on Swedish politics, economy and society draws directly from Riksdagen, Regeringskansliet, Statistiska centralbyrån (SCB), Sveriges Riksbank, and municipal authorities. We consult Swedish legal texts, official reports, and data published by European Union institutions. For international context, we use reputable wire services and peer-reviewed journals, but always attribute the source.
Journalists at Pressesicht maintain a strict separation between editorial and commercial work. The editorial team – including Redaktionschef Julia Brandt, Politikredaktör Christian Thomas, Wirtschaftreporter Christina Richter, Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Oliver Schmid, and fact-checking chief Anna Jung – each have subject‑specific expertise. We use AI‑assisted tools only for research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata and transcription. No published content is produced by AI without human review. When we cannot verify a claim to our standard, we either omit it or explicitly label it as unconfirmed. We do not publish anonymous sources unless they provide information of clear public interest and their identity is known to at least one senior editor. How can readers challenge our reporting?

Every challenge is acknowledged within two working days. The responsible editor – typically the section editor or Chefredaktör Matthias Winter – reviews the submission, consults the original sources and the writer, and decides whether a correction, clarification or update is warranted. If the error is confirmed, we publish a correction notice at the foot of the article and note it in our corrections log.
For challenges that question the overall fairness or selection of facts, rather than a discrete error, readers may write to the editorial team at editorial@pressesicht.de. The editor will consider whether a follow‑up article, an author’s note, or a letter to the editor is appropriate. We do not guarantee publication of all correspondence, but we consider each submission seriously.
If a reader is not satisfied with the outcome, they may escalate the matter to the Chefredaktör in writing. Pressesicht Media Ltd. also operates an independent review process for serious complaints about editorial misconduct or breaches of our editorial policy.
