Pressesicht (pressesicht.de) is an independent Swedish digital news publisher owned and operated by Pressesicht Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. This Sponsored Content Policy governs all commercial content published on our site. Every sponsored piece is subject to the same fact-checking and editorial oversight as regular journalism, and no commercial relationship can compromise our editorial independence.

Who is responsible for sponsored content at Pressesicht?

The publisher Pressesicht Media Ltd., registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), bears ultimate responsibility for all sponsored content on pressesicht.de. Chefredaktör Matthias Winter exercises editorial oversight and approves every sponsored piece before publication.

How is sponsored content labelled and distinguished from editorial content?

All sponsored content is labelled with “Sponsored” or “Anzeige” at the top of the page, and the sponsoring organisation is named in the byline area. The visual presentation differs from editorial content to prevent confusion.

Sponsored articles use a distinct visual treatment including a different background colour and a prominent disclosure box. No sponsored content uses the same layout or section placement as editorial articles. Readers can identify sponsored material at a glance before engaging with it.

What are the rules for affiliate links and how do they differ from sponsored content?

Affiliate links are disclosed at the point of use with a clear statement and are governed by our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure policy at /advertising-affiliate-disclosure/. Unlike sponsored content, affiliate links do not involve payment for placement and never influence a story’s subject or angle.

Affiliate links appear in editorial content only when editorially justified and clearly disclosed. Sponsored content is a commercial arrangement in which a third party pays for placement of a specific piece. The two are never combined: affiliate links do not appear within sponsored content, and sponsored content is not used as a vehicle for affiliate revenue. How does Pressesicht maintain editorial independence from commercial partners?

Sponsors receive no advance access to editorial content, no veto power over editorial decisions and no preferential treatment in news coverage.
