Pressesicht is wholly owned by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, registered office: Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000). As a Swedish digital news publisher with an international readership, we believe that clear ownership disclosure is fundamental to trust. This page sets out who owns Pressesicht, how we are funded, and how we protect editorial independence.

Who owns Pressesicht?

Pressesicht is owned by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, registered office: Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000). The company operates under a Malta Business Registry listing and has no parent organisation or majority shareholder that influences editorial decisions. Nordklar Media Ltd owns and operates Pressesicht Media Ltd, the Gibraltar-based legal entity that publishes this site. The ownership structure is designed to keep commercial interests separate from editorial judgment. Full company details are available on request by contacting us via /about-us/contact/.

How is Pressesicht funded?

Pressesicht is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. No single revenue stream dominates, and all commercial material is clearly labelled to distinguish it from independent journalism. Affiliate links are disclosed at the point of use; sponsored articles carry a prominent “Sponsored” banner. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions, and our journalists are not incentivised by advertising or partnership revenue. For advertising enquiries, please contact us at /about-us/contact/.

How does Pressesicht maintain editorial independence?

Editorial independence from commercial influence is guaranteed by our governance structure and the accountability of the editor-in-chief, Matthias Winter. No advertiser, sponsor, or partner can review, approve, or veto stories before publication. Our editorial policy explicitly prohibits any interference from owners or funders in news decisions. Revenue sources are disclosed transparently in our advertising and affiliate disclosure, and all sponsored content must comply with our sponsored content policy. The commercial team operates separately from the newsroom, and no journalist reports to a business manager.

Who is responsible for Pressesicht’s editorial governance?

Matthias Winter, as Chefredaktör, is accountable for all editorial standards, publication decisions, and corrections. He can be reached at anders.lindqvist@pressesicht.de. The editorial team, including Julia Brandt (Redaktionschef), Christian Thomas (Politikredaktör), Christina Richter (Wirtschaftreporter), Oliver Schmid (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör), and Anna Jung (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), reports directly to Winter. Governance processes are outlined in our /our-team/ page and our fact-checking policy. Any concerns about editorial decisions or funding can be addressed to the editor-in-chief or via our complaints procedure at /complaints-procedure/.

Our commitments

  • We will never allow commercial partners, advertisers, or owners to influence editorial content or story selection.
  • All funding sources, including sponsored content and affiliate relationships, will be clearly disclosed to readers.
  • Every piece of editorial content is reviewed by a human editor; AI tools support research and formatting but never replace human judgment.
  • Fact‑checking is performed on every article before publication, and corrections are handled transparently under our corrections policy.
  • We will publish an annual transparency report detailing revenue sources, ownership changes, and editorial governance updates.
